Bank of America Merrill Lynch Ensconced Atop Global Research Ranking

With its 17 positions on the Emerging-Markets Equity & Fixed-Income Research Team, Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s cumulative 2012 total rises to 137 — more than enough to retain first place onInstitutional Investor’sTop Global Research Firms: Year to Date ranking.

德意志银行(Deutsche Bank)holds steady in second place, with 127 positions, and UBS repeats at third, with 102. These are the only firms that have racked up triple-digit team-position totals in the results released thus far this year.

With regard to analysts and teams deemed the best in their respective sectors, Deutsche Bank pulls ahead, with 36. Earlier this month the Frankfurt-based financial services firm tied with BofA Merrill — each had 32 — but the U.S. firm, now with 34, slips to second according to this metric. Citi, in sixth place overall, has the third-highest number of top-ranked analysts and teams.
