Private equity masterChristopher Flowersappears on the march to take up major stakes in European banks to add to his DutchNIB Capitalinvestment, the金融时报》reports. In his latest campaign, Flowers reportedly is looking to acquire an 84% inDeutsche HypothekenbankfromING. If he succeeds, says theFT, he would have to bid for the rest of the German bank. Meanwhile, Flowers is aiming for a 27% stake inHSH Nordbank, a regional German institution, together withCerberus,CorsairandHellman & Friedman. Success in the latest bids is expected to help Flowers with his intended float of NIB.
