Harrison Street Buys Transwestern REIT

U.S. real estate private equity firm,Harrison Street Real Estate Capital,has boughtTranswestern Securities Management,Pension & Investmentreports. The financial details of the acquisition of the REIT subsidiary of real estate investment firmTranswestern Investmenthave not been disclosed.

As a part of the agreement, principals and co-portfolio managers at Transwestern,Reagan PrattandJim Kammert, will lead the REIT business and retain those titles at Harrison Street. The transaction brings the buyer’s total assets under management to more than $2.7 billion.
