Ex-TCI Asia Head Raises $500M Fund

The former Asia head of The Children’s Investment Fund Management U.K. has raised $500 million for his hedge fund.

    The former Asia head ofThe 英国儿童投资基金管理(TCI),has raised $500 million for his hedge fund,Janchor Partners Pan Asian Fund,Bloombergreports.John Hohas stopped marketing the hedge fund to new investors after its assets grew to $500 million in the first year.

    The fund started investment in January 2010 and shorted single stocks with flawed business models and broken corporate governance. The fund has returned about 35.5%, four-times more than theEurekahedge Asia Long/Short Equities Hedge Fund Index’sless than 8% gain for 2010.
