Commonfundhas namedFredric Nelsonas CIO ofCommonfund Groupand CEO ofCommonfund Asset Management,PLANSPONSORreports. He will also be head of the firm’s investment policy and asset allocation committee and have direct oversight of Commonfund’s equity and fixed income programs as well as its $11 billion outsourced solutions business.

Nelson will work under Verne Sedlacek, president and CEO of the Commonfund Group, replacing Lyn Hutton, who left Commonfund to become managing director and COO of investment banking and capital markets firm, Prager, Sealy & Company. Most recently, Nelson served as managing director, head of U.S. equity for JP Morgan Investment Management.
