The six-strong Nomura International squad helmed by Colin Tennant rises one rung to second place. “They know the companies they follow very well, they have access to management, they have a deep knowledge of the sector, they always justify their recommendations in a clear and trustable way — and their recommendations are often right,” marvels one investor. The team highlighted its buy rating on Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 Media in December 2009, at €8.59, largely on the strength of the media conglomerate’s diversified offerings that include commercial television, pay-per-view, radio stations and print publications. The stock skyrocketed a stunning 161.9 percent by year-end 2010, to €22.50.
