LSE Plans TMX Group Acquisition
The London Stock Exchange is in discussions to acquire TMX Group, owner of Toronto Stock Exchange.
TheLondon Stock Exchange(LSE) is in discussions to acquireTMX Group, owner ofToronto Stock Exchange,Reutersreports. The new merged group will be based in London and Toronto and continue to be overseen by regulatory authorities in both countries.
LSE, which plans to issue stock, will control around 56% of the new combined entity, addsBloomberg. The management of the merged company will be made up of leaders from both the organizations.
