Canadian asset manager Harvest Portfolios Group is launching the Global Advantaged Telecom & Utilities Income Fund. The closed end fund has been set up to offer investors with exposure to an actively managed portfolio, comprising of equities of global telecom issuers and global utilities issuers.

Avenue Investment Management has been named as the fund’s investment manager and will be responsible for the implementation of its investment strategy, as per which, it will offer its unit-holders’ tax-advantaged monthly distributions and capital appreciation. The syndicate of agents is co-led by BMO Capital Markets and CIBC, and includes Scotia Capital HSBC Securities (Canada) and National Bank Financial.
