Railsplitter Picks BNYM For $1.5B Issue

BNY Mellon Corporate Trusthas been awarded a mandate by theRailsplitter Tobacco Settlement Authorityof Illinois. BNY Mellon has been appointed as trustee, paying agent and registrar for authority’s $1.5 billion issuance of tobacco settlement bonds.

It will offer services for the debt issue, including processing principal and interest payments and maintaining bondholder records. BNY Mellon, which services $12 trillion in outstanding debt from 61 locations in 20 countries, has clients, including governments and their agencies.
