FIA, FOA Taskforce Examines Closer Links
The Futures Industry Association and its London-based sister organization, the Futures and Options Association are exploring the possibility of closer co-operation.
TheFutures Industry Association(FIA) and its London-based sister organization, theFutures and Options Association(FOA), are exploring the possibility of closer co-operation,金融时报》reports. A taskforce is considering possibilities that may include a merger of the two trade associations for banks, brokers and other users of the derivatives markets.
FIA has expanded its focus to include the swap clearing activities of its existing members, which include banks, such asGoldman Sachs,HSBCandRBS. FIA is also mulling on setting up an office in Asia, probably in Singapore.
