Illinois SURS To Seek Transition Managers

Illinois State Universities Retirement System(SURS) is planning to start a search for its first transition managers,Pensions & Investmentsreports. The retirement system is seeking to form a group of around five transition managers.

SURS has appointed its investment consultant,CallanAssociates, to assist in the process. The program would include all asset classes in the pension fund’s investment portfolio. At present, it uses global custodianNorthern Trustor its index fund managers for transitions.
