Chi-X, Russell To Unveil European Indices

Pan-European equities exchange,Chi-X Europe, has partnered withRussell Investmentsto launch a new series of European indices. The new series will incorporate the most liquid and highly capitalized stocks across Europe.

The new indices, which will balance currency exposure and tracking error with the number of constituents to appeal to audience of equity index users, will be constructed using Russell’s rules-based methodology. In the future, Chi-X Europe will list futures and options contracts on the indices.
