Austria’s Hypo Alpe Hires JP Morgan

海波Alpe-Adria-Bank国际has appointedJPMorgan Chaseto find a buyer for its domestic division,Bloombergreports. The lender is in informal discussions with the potential bidders for the unit.

The board of Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank, which was nationalized in 2009, has also initiated the evaluation of a possible sale of its unit. The Austrian banking group’s domestic unit has about $9.5 billion of assets, as per a report for the first half of 2010.
