Matrix To Start Europe Ucits Fund

Matrix Asset Management将推出一款New Europe Ucitsfund in the second quarter for hedge fund manager,David Thornton,金融时报》reports. The long/short fund will be a Ucits III version of Thornton’s Cayman-domiciledNew Europehedge fund.

The new vehicle will mainly focus on Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Greece and Turkey, and is expected to be domiciled in Dublin. Thornton, who joined Matrix to manage the New Europe hedge fund in June 2006, has previously served atHenderson Global Investorsas director and head of U.K. institutional equities.
