Iron Mining Group (IMG) has launched its new iron ore trading subsidiary, IMG Iron Ore Trading. The new division aims to address the fundamental issues faced by most junior iron ore miners, including the lack of liquidity, export financing and immediate access to large Chinese steel groups.

The new company seeks to provide comprehensive solutions. Through the launch of IMG Iron Ore Trading, IMG can start offering one-stop export solutions to many junior iron ore mining companies. Separately, IMG may also leverage its existing 10-year iron ore offtake agreement with Chinese steel group, Tianjin Bohai Steel Group.
