Chile To Offer $400M Loan To Farmers

Chile will offer a credit facility worth $400 million to the farmers of the nation,Bloombergreports. The loan will be provided with favorable interest rates to help agricultural exporters cope with the Latin American nation’s currency performance.

The loan will be offered through state-ownedBanco del Estado de Chileto help replace used equipment and expand cattle purchases and planting. The credit facility will have repayment grace periods and amortization coinciding with harvest cycles.
