Apax Partners To Raise €9B Buyout Fund
Apax Partners is seeking to raise around €9 billion for a new buyout portfolio.
Apax Partnersis seekingtoraise around €9 billion for a new buyout portfolio,The Wall Street Journalreports. TheApax VIIIfund will mainly make buyout investments in Europe.
The team of London-based firm will commit about €400 million to the latest fund, which is scheduled to close in the fourth quarter 2011. The money to be raised for the new portfolio will be 20% less than the amount raised byApax Europe VIIin 2007.
