Golden Gate Buys $470M Pizza Chain

Golden gate Capitalis seeking buying U.S. restaurant chain,California Pizza Kitchenfor $470 million,The Wall Street Journalreports. Under the terms of the transaction, the U.S. private equity firm will pay $18.50 a share via an offer that will begin no later than June 8, 2011.

California Pizza Kitchen was advised byMoelis & Company, while its board’s special committee was counseled byRichards, Layton & Finger. Golden Gate was advised by the law firm,Kirkland & Ellis, addsTheNew York Times.
