Citigroup is winding down the Japan office of Citi Venture Capital International (CVCI),Reutersreports. The office will be closed as the high-growth focused fund manager was unable to find any good investments.

The firm opened its operational office in Japan in September 2006. CVCI is a U.K. private equity firm that manages $7 billion in equity investments and committed capital.
