Religare Hires EQ Capital Market Head

Religare Capital Markets(RCML) has appointedJohn Sturmeyas head of global equity capital markets operation,FinanceAsiareports. Based in Hong Kong, he will be supported by a team of 10 bankers who will focus on attracting Indian and Southeast Asian companies mandates.

The position is new. Most recently, Sturmey was jointly in charge ofUBS’ global capital markets group inAsia. Prior to UBS, he served atRBSas head of its equity capital markets division, also in Asia.
