Investec Launches EM Grade Debt Fund

Investec Asset Managementhas added a new investment grade debt portfolio to its range of emerging market debt funds,Investment Weekreports. The offshoreInvestec GSF Emerging Markets Investment Grade Debtfund will target local currency debt markets to get returns from yield compression and currency appreciation.

The portfolio will acquire investment grade sovereign bonds denominated in local currencies, with a focus on developed emerging markets. The emerging markets debt team, led byPeter Eerdmans, will run the fund.
