France Offers $14B Tenders For Wind Farms

The French government is planning to construct five offshore wind farms,The Wall Street Journalreports. The government has floated a $14.26 billon tender offer for building the farms and a second tender is expected to be launched in April 2012.

GDF Suez,VinciandArevaare expected to offer bids for the project. A group of six engineering firms, includingEDF Energies Nouvelles,AlstomandDong Energy, may also be interested in the tender auction.
