The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) will list its first ETFs in September 2011,GhanaWebreports. The bourse has teamed up with ABSA Capital to list the commodity-backedNewGold ETF, which is already listed on the Johannesburg and Botswana Stock exchanges.

The GSE will seek the Security and Exchange Commission’s approval for the new listing and trading rules covering the ETFs. The existing trading rules will not be applicable to the ETFs as they will be traded under a different regime.
