Lone Star Gets Gates Foundation Grant

Bill and Melinda Gates Foundationhas granted $500,000 toLone Star College System(LSCS),社会影响的报纸reports. The grant will be used to help students finish their college education faster and at more successful rates.

LSCS has chosen another four community college systems in the state to work with on the three year project. The foundation will award $35 million for the second phase of the grant after the project comprising the first phase of the grant project is completed and approved.
