Daiwa Capital Marketshas expanded its global equity finance unit with the appointment of a senior executive,Here Is The Cityreports. The investment banking arm of Japanese brokerageDaiwa Securities Grouphas selectedChristopher Owenas head of secured financing.

In his new role, Owens will report to regional head of derivatives and head of global equity financeCharlie Day. Owen is joining the firm fromNomura, where he was executive director of financing products management.
