MTSU Foundation Collects $8.5M In 2011

TheMTSU Foundationgot over $8.5 million in gifts in 2011,《每日新闻》杂志reports. The donations are being used by the foundation for the benefit of students.Gale PrinceandJonelle Princeset up the first Centennial Scholarship at MTSU in 2010 with a pledge of $100,000.

The Centennial Scholars program aims to set up 100 such endowments, which when fully funded, will provide perpetual funds for 20-25 students every year. Each $100,000 endowment will provide a competitive award renewable for a maximum of five years, while a portion of the funds can be applied for overseas studies.
