TRS Appoints Hamilton As PE Consultant
The Texas Teacher Retirement System has appointed Hamilton Lane Advisors as the $105.4 billion system’s sole private equity consultant.
TheTexas Teacher Retirement System(TRS) has appointedHamilton Lane Advisorsas the $105.4 billion system’s sole private equity consultant,Pensions & Investmentsreports. Hamilton Lane will advise on TRS’ nearly $7 billion private equity portfolio.
The move is part of the contract renewal of the fund’s five existing consultants.Altius Associateswas also considered for the position. The TRS plans to allocate further $1.5 billion to private equity in 2011 and a combined $700 million over the next two years to emerging private equity and real asset managers.
