The American International Group has raised $2 billion through a two-part sale of notes.

    TheAmerican International Group(AIG) has raised $2 billion through a two-part sale of notes,Reutersreports. The first tranche of $1.2 billion notes, with a coupon rate of 4.25 percent, will mature on Sept. 15, 2014.

    The second tranche of $800 million notes, carrying a coupon rate of 4.875 percent, will mature on Sept. 15, 2016.Citigroup,Credit Suisse,Morgan StanleyandU.S. Bancorpwere joint bookrunners for the offering.
