Future Fund GM Joins Blackstone

Paul Costello, general manager of Australia’sFuture Fund, has joined alternative asset management and financial services companyBlackstone Groupas non-executive chairman for Australia and New Zealand. He will work underTony James, Blackstone president, andMichael Chae, who heads private equity for the firm in Asia-Pacific.

Costello will assist in directing the development of the firm in the region and represent it with its key constituencies there. Before joining Future Fund, he had launched theNew Zealand Superannuation Fundand was CEO of theSuperannuation Trust of Australia.
