Aberdeen May Float Small-Cap EQ Fund

Aberdeen Asset Managementis seeking to roll out a global small-cap equities fund,Investment Weekreports. The fund, which may be launched early next year, will be managed byStephen Docherty, who is head of the £21 billion global equities range at the global investment manager.

The new vehicle will be based on the company’s U.S.-domiciled £32.3 millionAberdeen Global Small Capfund rolled out in September 2009. Aberdeen’s small-cap range for U.K. investors comprises the £140 millionU.K.Smaller Companiesand the £79 millionGlobal Japanese Smaller Companiesfunds.
