Software and services vendor Cloudera has raised $40 million series D round of venture capital funding.

    Software and services vendorClouderahas raised $40 million series D round of venture capital funding. The investment round was led byFrank ArtaleofIgnition Partners. Cloudera extends Apache Hadoop-based data management software and services.

    Existing investors such asAccel Partners,Greylock Partners,Meritech Capital PartnersandIn-Q-Telalso took part in the fundraising process. The company will use the proceeds to further expansion of its marketing and sales operations, and to support key strategic initiatives.
