WARF’s Longtime CIO Carrie Thome Exits
The $3 billion Wisconsin foundation has lost its investment chief, with no successor in place.
Chief investment officer Carrie Thome has left the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) after 18 years, digital records indicate.
A WARF spokesperson confirmed Thome’s departure Thursday morning.
“It is WARF’s policy that we do not discuss personnel or internal operations matters. Carrie’s transition is a personnel matter for WARF, and is personal to Carrie, so we will not comment on it further,” wrote strategic communications director Jeanan Yasiri Moe in an email to亚博赞助欧冠.
Deputy chief investment officer Alain Hung is serving in the interim leadership role for WARF investments, she continued. “WARF’s managing director and our board of trustees will be considering next steps in the months to come.”
Thome oversaw a $3 billion portfolio for Madison-based WARF, which supports the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s scientific research.
